πTask Force Activity Update It has been another proactive period for your local Task Force team, with officers working across the area to target criminals and support the wider policing response. β
Vehicle Pursuit in Burscough At 20:48hrs on 03 August 2026, officers attempted to stop a road bike in Burscough. The vehicle failed to stop, resulting in a pursuit along Liverpool Road South and onto the industrial estate. Enquiries relating to the incident are ongoing. (Please take some time to review the attached image of the vehicle & rider involved and if you have any information you can reply directly to this message for Task Force to review) β
High-Risk Domestic Violence Offender Arrested Using some smart thinking, persistence and a few sneaky Task Force tactics, officers successfully located and arrested a high-risk domestic violence offender who had been attempting to avoid police. The arrest ensures a Domestic Violence Protection Order is implemented and that further safeguarding measures can now be addressed to support the victim while the investigation continues. β
Targeted Patrols in Hesketh Bank Officers conducted targeted patrols in Hesketh Bank, focusing on areas where intelligence has suggested drug dealing activity. High-visibility patrols and intelligence gathering will continue as we work to disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal drugs. β
Anti-Social Vehicle Use Tackled Several vehicles linked to anti-social behaviour were stopped and dealt with by officers. A number of Section 59 Warnings were issued, providing a clear warning to drivers whose manner of driving was causing alarm, distress or annoyance within our communities. β
Supporting Response Policing Throughout the week, Task Force officers continued to provide support and assistance to Immediate Response (IR) colleagues, helping to deal with ongoing incidents, daily demand and ensuring calls for service were attended promptly. Thank you to everyone who continues to report information and concerns to us. Your information helps us target our activity where it is needed most. #InTheKnow #KeepingCommunitiesSafe #YouSaidWeDid #TaskForce
